Cyrikk is committed to the development and involvement of all its employees and recognises their importance to the continued success and growth of the organisation.

Cyrikk secure the single-minded commitment to these objectives from their people, through personal coaching, encouragement, involvement and ongoing training.

It is the Company’s intention to comply with all Health & Safety legislation and to act positively where it can to prevent injury, ill health or any danger or loss arising from its activities and operations.

This policy is based on the firm conviction that as well as reducing individual suffering and loss, resolute determination to ensure that all activities and operations are carried out safely will contribute directly to the efficiency and success of the Company’s business

The Company considers the promotion of the Safety & Health of its employees at work and of those who may be affected by its activities and operations to be of essential importance.  The Company recognises that the effective prevention of accidents depends as much on committed attitude to Safety as on design, operation and maintenance of plants and safe systems at work.  To this end, it will seek to encourage employee participation in the establishment and observance of Safe Working Practices.

Employees on their part will be expected to recognise that there is a clear duty to them to exercise self-discipline and accept responsibility to do everything they can to prevent injury to themselves or others.

SITE HEALTH AND SAFETY POLICY

Cyrikk intend to ensure that the Health, Safety and Welfare of their employees and associated thirds parties are not exposed to health or safety risks by conducting their business in such a way that as far as reasonably practicable they comply with all the statutory legislation and any other requirements applicable to the business of the depot.

Cyrikk has overall responsibility for ensuring that this policy is implemented.  Health and Safety Representatives will be appointed to identify and analyse accidents/incidents, carry out risk assessments, and monitor Health and Safety legislation. Cyrikk will monitor the policy through reports from the Health and Safety Representative, and regular meetings with Managers.  The day to day responsibility for these matters is delegated to all Managers and Supervisors and it is their responsibility to ensure that the arrangements essential to the success of the policy are introduced within their own sphere of control.

In consultation with each Department Manager/Supervisor, Cyrikk will be responsible for introducing procedures for accidents/incidents/ill health in accordance with current legislation.

The prime responsibility however rests with all individuals to conduct their activities in a way that does not risk exposing others or themselves to danger through careless or ill-conceived action.  To assist in this aim Cyrikk will provide information, instruction, training and supervision as appropriate.

In particular, so far as reasonably practicable, Cyrikk will:

  1. Provide and maintain work systems that are safe and without risks to health.

  • Maintain the place of work, including access and exits under their control, in a condition that is safe and without risks to health and adequate as regards welfare at work.

  • Provide and maintain a working environment which is safe and without risks to health.

Employees are reminded that it is their duty to take care that accidents to themselves and others are avoided and that they are required to co-operate with, and identify to management, Safety, Health and Welfare matters.

In order to strive for, and obtain, the high calibre performance expected by Cyrikk the company operates a management philosophy, which is as follows:

Cyrikk will monitor and review this policy to ensure that Cyrikk and its staff are kept up to date with the requirements and implications as they affect the business of the depot.
